MCSCAAA had the opportunity to assist MCSO by providing food for all the Officers and First Responders!!!
This course of study entitled “Highway Criminal Interdiction” addresses key components of modern criminal interdiction including professionalism and ethics, Criminal Interdiction 101, K-9 program overview, verbal and non-verbal communication during roadside interviews, identification of vehicle hidden compartments, and commercial motor vehicle criminal interdiction. The class emphasizes the essential steps necessary to establish and maintain a successful criminal interdiction program. The training is carefully designed to strengthen patrol officers’ ability to recognize and respond to criminal activity encountered during traffic enforcement. By combining comprehensive classroom instruction with practical exercises, the program enhances both the operational proficiency and legal awareness of participating law enforcement personnel. This course equips patrol officers with the knowledge and skills necessary to conduct effective vehicle interdictions while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct. The curriculum covers legal foundations, behavioral indicators, practical roadside application, and advanced interdiction techniques. Upon completion, officers will be better prepared to identify criminal indicators, conduct lawful and effective interviews, and safely interdict criminal activity during traffic stops.
Through this training, participants will not only improve their interdiction capabilities but will also reinforce their commitment to ethical law enforcement practices and constitutional policing.
